Grip problem with SANTRO

dear friends,
I am very concerned with my new car. the tires seems to struggle with the grip on the road. Even when I am driving below 60 km/h and apply the brakes the car starts skidding and sliding. pls tell me if the problem is with the standard tires or the brake is too hard? I have absolutely no knowledge of tires or sizes so pls also give me alternate sizes and makes it would be better if its bridgestone since they are readily available in the market. thanks for any help

change the stock General tyres...they behave as Ice rollers....give these generals and put something good like bridgestone,hankook....you probably need to spend some 4k along with the tyres....make a bargain
