Honda City Steermatic, No sucess?
hello every body does any body purchased the steermatic please give us review i want to purchase this car but i shy to purchase because its not been purchased by any person around, The function steermatic is also available in billion rupees cars like the Mercedes S- class which is famous for the one of the best family sedan
More over i have also heard that this car also has power saving option it turn off the unrequired cylinders on low speed and it turn them back on when you accelerate
(i am not sure about this option on available on steermatic ) .
(this option also available on billions rupees car)
does any body knows weather this ture or not for honda city steermatic?
Just like a mobile processor fitted in laptop to save energy when you demand power it will run like 1800MHZ and when your laptop is idle or you are working on some word document it will run on 1200MHZ. to elongate battery power.
hehe bad example.
any way do comment on this compact sedan which is being out there for months but still only seen on showrooms but not on roads.

Yes, you can refer to the above link to read a review of someone who is actually driving this car (that's me).
But to add a few lines to respond to your specific queries.
This 'Steermatic' is not something extra-ordinary. This car is actually driven on automatic transmission and the only thing that this 'Steermatic' does is provide you with a set of 7 virtual gears that you can shift between (through two buttons on steering). Nothing too special about this.
There are other things in this car to like about especially when compared to previous model.
CITY VTEC has been a great success in India (2000-02 models). However, this 2003 shape of CITY drew more criticism, mostly from tradionalists, and kept many people from buying it - for disliking the iron-like shape.
Now, this new shape is more in-line with current age and trend - but the feelings / impressions will take time to fade. So, may be in some more months - you see more acceptability of CITY - especially when people begin to like the VTEC engine.
