Honda City Voltage Dorp Issue
Honda City Voltage Dorp Issue
Got a Honda City with 100k on it. Everythings mostly good, but dealing with voltage ping issue:
Headlights flicker at night, sometimes linked to acceleration.
Voltage s to 11.9 - 12.3V when lights dim, jumps to 13.8 - 14.2V when they brighten.
Same problem in the morning.
Voltage occasionally s at idle.
Tried cleaning ground cable, changing generator, but still stuck. Need help!

It seems like your car might be having trouble with the alternator connector, which is something that happens fairly often. Its a good idea to also check the wire connecting the alternator to the battery and the ground cable, as sometimes a bad ground can cause similar issues.
Heres what you can do to troubleshoot:
When you park your car, take a look at the voltage displayed on the car charger after its been stopped for about 10 minutes. Then, leave the car overnight and check the voltage again in the morning. If its around 12.6-12.7 volts, your battery is probably in good shape. After that, you can move on to checking other potential problems.
