How can I tell if my Suzuki Alto’s radiator is leaking from the top o r bottom?

I suspect my Suzuki Alto’s radiator might be leaking coolant, but I’m not sure where the leak is coming from. How can I determine whether the leak is coming from the top, bottom, o r somewhere else?

To pinpoint where the radiator leak is coming from, you’ll need to perform a visual inspection. There are a few methods you can use to determine whether the leak is from the top, bottom, o r other parts of the radiator.

Steps to Locate the Leak:

Check the Coolant Reservoir: Often, the first sign of a leak is a in coolant level. If you notice coolant dripping from the reservoir, check for cracks.
Look for Leaking Fluid: Start the engine and allow it to warm up. As the car runs, observe the radiator and hoses for signs of coolant leakage. The area where the leak is coming from should be wet o r have visible coolant residue.
Check the Upper Radiator Hose: The upper radiator hose connects to the top of the radiator. A leak here could be from the hose o r the radiator’s inlet connection.
Inspect the Lower Radiator Hose: The lower hose connects to the bottom of the radiator. If this hose is leaking, it could be a sign of damage to the hose o r the radiator’s bottom outlet.
Check for Cracks o r Rust: The top and bottom sections of the radiator are prone to corrosion and damage. Look for rust, cracks, o r holes along the seams.
Solution:

Pressure Test: A mechanic can perform a radiator pressure test to determine the exact location of the leak by pressurizing the system and observing where coolant escapes.
