How do I know if my Suzuki Altos alternator is not charging the battery properly?

I’m concerned that my Suzuki Alto’s alternator might not be charging the battery properly. What are the common signs that the alternator is failing, and how can I check if it’s causing the battery to lose charge?

If the alternator is not charging the battery properly, the most common signs include:

Battery Light on the Dashboard: This is the most obvious indication. If the battery light on the dashboard stays on while driving, it’s a sign that the alternator isn’t charging the battery effectively.
Dim o r Flickering Lights: As the alternator begins to fail, the electrical power it provides to your car’s lights can fluctuate, causing them to dim o r flicker.
Car Struggling to Start: If the alternator isn’t providing enough charge, the battery won’t have enough power to start the car.
Electrical Accessories Malfunctioning: If electrical components like the radio, air conditioning, o r power windows stop working correctly o r operate sluggishly, the alternator might be to blame.
Solution:
Check the alternator’s charging ability with a multimeter. The voltage at the battery should read between 13.7 to 14.7 volts while the engine is running. If it’s lower, you may need to replace the alternator o r check the alternator belt for issues.
