How do I know if the starter motor in my Suzuki Alto is failing?

Lately, my Suzuki Alto has been showing signs of trouble starting. Sometimes, the engine takes a few tries to crank, and I hear a clicking sound. How can I tell if this is a failing starter motor, and are there any other issues specific to Alto cars in Pakistan that could be causing this problem?

A failing starter motor will often show a few distinct symptoms:

Clicking sound: The most common sign is a clicking sound when turning the ignition key, but the engine doesnt turn over.
Slow cranking: The engine cranks slowly o r struggles to turn over, even though the battery is fully charged.
No response: You turn the key, and there’s no response at all from the engine.
Grinding noise: This may indicate the motor’s gear is not properly engaging with the flywheel.
If you experience any of these symptoms, you should inspect the starter motor. You can also try tapping the motor lightly while someone attempts to start the car — sometimes this will temporarily free up a stuck motor.
