Excessive idling, particularly during traffic jams o r long waits at traffic signals, can increase fuel consumption in the Toyota Camry. When the car is idling, the engine is running but not moving, consuming fuel unnecessarily. In Pakistan’s hot summer months, continuous air conditioning usage also adds to fuel consumption, as the engine has to work harder to cool the cabin.

To minimize fuel wastage, it’s advisable to turn off the engine during long periods of idling and use the air conditioning judiciously. When stuck in traffic, rolling down the windows for ventilation o r using the car’s air recirculation feature can reduce the load on the engine.
