How does Honda City’s body structure perform in crash tests?

The ASEAN NCAP rating of the Honda City suggests decent crash protection, but does the locally assembled version maintain the same safety standards, o r does it lack reinforced materials for crash safety?

The ASEAN NCAP New Car Assessment Program rating for the Honda City indicates that it offers decent crash protection. The body structure is designed to absorb impact energy, which reduces injury risk during accidents. However, locally assembled variants may not maintain the same level of crash safety as international versions, as they may lack reinforced materials that enhance crashworthiness. In crash tests, the Honda City has generally performed well in frontal impacts, but the absence of side and curtain airbags and ESC means it doesn’t perform as well as some of its competitors in more severe accidents. Although the car provides a basic level of protection, it’s worth considering the impact of local assembly standards on safety features.
