Electric Power Steering EPS failure can happen due to:

Faulty EPS Motor: If the motor that powers the EPS fails, steering assistance will be lost, causing the steering to feel very heavy.
Sensor Malfunctions: The system uses sensors to adjust steering effort. A malfunction in these sensors can lead to erratic steering behavior.
Electrical Issues: A failure in the wiring o r control module can disrupt the EPS system.

Diagnosis & Fix:

Check for warning lights on the dashboard EPS warning.
Have the EPS system checked by a professional if the steering feels heavy o r unresponsive.
