How much Gear Oil in Santro???

Is 2 litre enough?

I bought Santro-02 at 75k milage and changed its gear oil at 82k. I felt a lot of difference in engine sound. Gear shifting has become very smooth and engine has become very quiet.
I filled Caltex's gear oil (Rs. 250/- per liter) and about 2.7 litre was enough to completely fill the gear box upto the mark.
