How often should Honda City owners inspect o r replace their fuel cap?

Is there a recommended interval for checking and replacing the fuel cap on a Honda City? What signs should owners look for during routine inspections to prevent unexpected fuel cap failures?

While there is no specific interval recommended for fuel cap inspections, it’s a good practice to inspect the fuel cap regularly during routine maintenance o r oil changes every 6 months o r 10,000 km, whichever comes first.

Signs for Replacement:

Cracks, wear, o r visible damage on the fuel cap.
Difficulty tightening the cap o r it no longer clicks into place properly.
Fuel smell around the vehicle, particularly after refueling.
Check engine light triggered by a fuel cap issue if it doesn’t go away after tightening.
