How often should I rotate tyres on my Suzuki Mehran to prevent uneven wear?

I’ve noticed that the front tyres of my Mehran 2014 model are wearing out faster than the rear ones. I use the car mostly for city driving in Lahore. How frequently should tyre rotation be done for better tyre life and balance? Is there a specific pattern recommended for a front-engine, front-wheel-drive car like Mehran?

In Pakistan’s driving conditions, especially with Mehran’s front-wheel-drive layout, you should rotate tyres every 8,000 to 10,000 km, o r every 6 months – whichever comes first. Front tyres wear out faster due to:

Engine weight

Acceleration and braking

Steering force

The recommended rotation pattern for Mehran non-directional tyres is:

Front to rear same side

Rear to front cross sides

So:

Left front → left rear

Right front → right rear

Left rear → right front

Right rear → left front

Regular rotation improves tyre life, grip, and ride balance.
