Is a clogged cabin air filter preventing my Suzuki Alto’s AC from cooling properly?

The air conditioning in my Suzuki Alto is not as effective as it used to be. Could a clogged o r dirty cabin air filter be causing the AC to blow warm air? How do I check and replace the cabin air filter in my car?

Yes, a clogged o r dirty cabin air filter can affect your air conditioning system’s performance. The cabin air filter is responsible for filtering the air that enters the cabin, and if it gets clogged with dirt, dust, o r debris, it can restrict airflow, reducing the effectiveness of the AC and making it harder for the system to cool the air.

Solution:

Check the Cabin Air Filter: To check the cabin air filter, you’ll need to locate it usually behind the glove box o r under the dashboard. If it’s dirty, it will need to be cleaned o r replaced.
Replace the Filter: If the filter is too clogged to clean, it’s best to replace it. The cabin air filter should be replaced every 10,000 to 15,000 kilometers, o r more frequently if you drive in dusty conditions, as often encountered in Pakistan.
