Is honda city more fuel economical?

ok i heard city takes up less fuel than corolla Xli, both being 1.3L.
Can somebody plz tell me why?
Also prove so by giving fuel consumption figures.

VVTi and VTech are the same thing. But i-DSI is NOT VTec yaar!

To be honest, I do not know what iDSi is other than it being a marketing hoopla.

City consumes less fuel because it is 1.2L (not 1.3L), it has smaller body, is lighter, has a lot less torque than the XLi, and above all, gets easily spanked by an XLi in 2nd gear pick.
