Is the weight-to-power ratio of Suzuki Khyber a reason for low performance today?

Is the weight-to-power ratio of Suzuki Khyber a reason for low performance today?

The Khyber weighs around 700–750 kg with a 993cc engine, which was decent for its time. But now, with A/C, CNG kits, and added weight, it feels much slower. Could this increased load be affecting pickup and fuel efficiency? Was the original power-to-weight ratio enough for modern use?

The Khyber weighs around 720–750 kg, which was suitable for its engine output back in the day. But today, with added CNG kits, air conditioning systems, and extra passengers, the total load increases significantly, affecting performance. The original power-to-weight ratio becomes unbalanced, especially during hill climbs o r overtaking. To improve this, remove unnecessary weight, use petrol over CNG for better throttle response, and ensure engine health through proper maintenance.
