Khyber Power Windows Not Working After Rain — Is It a Wiring Issue?
After heavy rain o r a car wash, the power windows in my Suzuki Khyber stop responding completely. After a day o r two, they start working again. Could this be due to water leakage affecting the wiring o r switches? How do Khyber owners usually deal with this recurring issue?

This is a fairly common problem in cars like the Khyber that don’t have factory-fitted power windows:
Water Seepage: Aftermarket installations often leave small gaps o r poor sealing around window switches and door panels, allowing water to seep in and short the electrical contacts.
Moisture in Switch o r Motor: If water enters the power window switch o r motor housing, it can cause a temporary failure until it dries out.
Poor Insulation in Wiring: Loose o r poorly insulated wiring behind the door panels can short when it comes in contact with moisture.
Fix: Reseal the window switches and inspect all door rubbers. Have a technician check for water damage inside the door panels and use waterproof connectors o r insulation to protect the wiring.
