My COROLLA engine blewoff!! help me

i am here in canada and just got a call from my dad that our car engine
blewoff.. the driver started the car and there was a huge bang! oil leaked
some parts fell off and it had to be towed to a workshop

the car is 2004 gli corolla
very well maintained
never in an accident
102000 was the exact milage
we never had any problems with it
but we did u used it on cng..

if cng is to blame how come the metro cabs are running well over 300.000 km...

plz advise me what to do.. i think the engine will need a replacement
should i get a similar engine... if yes what will it cost and from where can i get it

should i put a different engine...

i am very confused

need experts help

how much money i have lost?

Correct me if i'm wrong, the engine series used in the 04 Corolla are timing chain based so them going bad at just 100K KM seems to highly unlikely. Maybe an oil change was skipped when mr driver to pocket some money .

Options available:

1) Rebuild engine
2) Used (kabuli)
