Need opinion on corolla Engine sound...

My friend has an xli which when starts in morning (winters) gives a slight rattling sound at certain rpm (around 2500). The sound is not heard at other rpms. However, once the engine is heated up to normal, the sound goes away completely.... the car has a cng installed too.... need your advise...

Whatyear is the car and whats the mileage?
The symptoms sound synonimous with areated/worn bucket shims. Check oil quantity, and try using an oil with higher viscosity. See if it goes away.
