Optimum temperature of engine while running? g

Last day i measured temperature of engine. I set the radiator fan at auto. Fan start working at 94 Celsius,and turn of automatically at 89 Celsius.
But temperature needle moves 20% toward H from Middle point at 94 C and At 89C stays 10%. I checked temp. the middle point it was 80 C.
i have following questions:
1: What is optimum temp of engine
2: At what temperature automatic fan should on.
3: Why temperature needle go beyond middle upto 20% toward H.

1.Check Radiator Cap
2. Thermostats
3. Coolant condition
4. Engine Oil changing and Engine Oil

Which car you are talking about.

Usually cartemperature is at 80-85'C but on CNG its bit hotter when burn so Cooling system need to make extra work to cool the car.
