Replaced Indus Corolla engine with a 2.0D

Replaced Indus Corolla engine with a 2.0D

Hey, so I just replaced the diesel engine in my Indus Corolla with a 1994 Corollas petrol automatic transmission engine. Im pretty bummed about the fuel efficiency its delivering. Its only giving me around 7 kilometers per liter when Im driving in the city with the AC on.

I could really use some assistance o r a recommendation for a skilled mechanic who can figure out whats going on. Also, Ive noticed that the engine seems to be revving quite high when Im at speeds below 20 kilometers per hour.

I hope Im making sense here, but Id appreciate any help o r advice. By the way, Im located in Gulshan, Karachi.

Take your vehicle to Karachi for a compression test dry and wet on all cylinders. If combined compression values are below 160 psi, consider an engine overhaul. If wet test improves values, it may be a valve issue. Swapping from scrapyards is risky overhauling existing engines is preferred by many due to better performance.
