Santro CNG Backfiring !!

AOA everyone,
my santro is backfiring alot. the air filter cover pops open and the car suddenly loses power and comes to a standstill. initially i thought the locks on the air filter cover were faulty so i replaced the cover with a new one. the problem was solved momentarily but now its persisting. i tied two small spring from the locks to the brake lines to stop the locks from popping but now the cover pops from the bottom.
help me out guys coz its very embarrassing when the car stops at traffic signals. and i also noted that it backfires at lower revs. ]

P.S. the CNG kit installed in the car is not FF, its aftermarket.

u r lucky if the air box clips did not break and u didnt have to replace anything till now.people even get there air filters burnt through back fire problems. which plugs are u using? try reducing plug gap else use the 4 tip bausch plugs and make sure plug wires are providing sufficient current
