Santro Exec Gear/Clutch Issue

Santro Exec Gear/Clutch Issue

Hi All ! I need some experience sharing with respect to my car Santro Exec with CNG non-factory.

Since I got it serviced, I am facing a very strange issue. Sometime the car stuck while I try to put gear - it seems that the clutch is not working - making horrible voice if I forcefully tried to put the car into gear. I checked the clutch settings - it was fine. To get rid of this issue & just to check the clutch - I start the car in 1st gear - the clutch is perfectly working with the same gap it suppose to. After sometime it comes back to its original condition i.e. I could able to drive it - can change the gears & all.

I took the car to Hyundai service they said yes, this is some issue with gears and it is a reported issue in 2 or 3% cars.

Have someone experienced this? What is this actually - as Iam not agreed with Hyundai staff.

Thats because you're getting water into your bellhousing and your clutch disc is sticking to the pressure disc. Next time it happens, just put the car in a high gear preferably 3rd or 4th and crank the motor without depressing the clutch. The sudden shunt usually frees the clutch. It usually happens when the rubber bung covering the timing mark isn't replaced after servicing also a worn clutch will sometimes stick, a condition more frequent in 4X4s.
