Security System Steel Mate Battery Life

Hi Friends,

My query is regarding the battery life of 2 way steel mate security system??

if the system DOES NOT have rechargable batteries, then how long do the batteries last.....I mean the regular batteries.....and I am refering to the steel mate system which has a screen and alerts the owner about vehicle's current security situaation..

The range definately is not 3KM (could be in ideal conditions), but it depends on the level of obstructions in the way... Im satisfied with its range though, much much more than conventional systems. There is a small external antenna installed, which i guess you can see in the pic which i shall be attaching shortly.
