Side effects of performance plugs?

well there has been a lot of discussion going around abt the performance plugs for different cars. well if any expert can tell me wht all may be the negative points abt performance plugs.

well wht i meant was that is there any stress on enginer because of all the estra spark and the the extra combustion taking place because of that. and well when we are runing on petrol the fuel that doesnt burn goes back to the tank so with extra spark that fuel will also burn and so the economy will be effected. but on cng as the gas valvle are one way and the extra cng dosnt go back so the economy will remain same.
any one who can explain further?
