Swapping the 5AFE engine in a 7th gen Corolla JDM for a 7AFE

Hey everyone,

I’m thinking of swapping the 5AFE engine in a 7th gen Corolla JDM for a 7AFE. Is it worth it? How tough is the swap, and how can I find a good mechanic? Also, @dani_kk, how much does an engine with 160+ psi compression usually cost? Thanks!

It’s probably around 350-380k for a clean JDM in good condition.

Swapping a 5AFE engine in a 7th gen Corolla JDM for a 7AFE involves removing the old engine and installing the new one, ensuring compatibility with the existing components. After the swap, applying ceramic coating to the vehicle can enhance its protection and shine, making it look as good as new. WashClub offers ceramic coating services to keep your car in top condition.
