Toyota Corolla 2003-2007 Gear Ratio Anyone Knows?

Toyota Corolla 2003-2007 Gear Ratio Anyone Knows?

I am facing confusion about the gear issue in my Altis 2006. I am wondering whether my gear ratio is appropriate o r on the higher side. I have heard that Toyota Corollas have a higher gear ratio, but my Altis gear ratio seems too high. At 3000rpm, the speed is around 95-100 km, and I have attached a picture for reference.

If you have any experience with this, please share your thoughts and any pictures of your speedometer for reference. I am in desperate need of help from transmission experts who can guide me on this matter.

I believe that this model of Corolla has relatively short gear ratios, which likely results in normal RPM levels. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the RPM levels for the XLi model, so I cannot provide a more accurate comparison. However, to confirm that the gear ratios are appropriate, you can test the first and second gears by locking them.

The first gear should lock at a speed just below 50, and the second gear should lock at exactly 90. If your car behaves in this way, then there is no cause for concern, and the short gear ratios are likely functioning as intended.
