Toyota Corolla Alternator Not Charging – Any Solutions?
Hey all,
I think my Toyota Corolla’s alternator is not charging properly. The battery warning light keeps coming on, and the battery keeps draining even after a fresh charge. I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with a similar issue and what the solution might be.
Could this be a faulty alternator, o r is it something else in the charging system?
Would love to hear your experiences!

It sounds like your alternator might be the culprit, especially if the battery warning light is on and the battery drains despite a fresh charge. A faulty alternator can fail to charge the battery properly, causing the battery to deplete.
To confirm:
Check the Voltage: Use a multimeter to measure the battery voltage with the engine running. If it’s below 13.8 volts, your alternator may not be charging the battery.
Inspect the Alternator Belt: Ensure the belt is tight and in good condition, as a loose o r worn belt can affect the alternators ability to charge.
Test the Alternator: Some auto parts stores can test the alternator for you, o r you can have a mechanic run a diagnostic.
If these tests point to the alternator, it will likely need replacing. If everything looks fine with the alternator, the issue could be with the battery, wiring, o r another component in the charging system.
