Toyota Corolla Fuel Tank Capacity – How Far Can You Go on a Full Tank?

Hello everyone,

I’m curious about how far a full tank of gas can take you in a Toyota Corolla. The fuel tank capacity seems decent, but I want to hear from actual owners about their real-world driving experience.

How many miles o r kilometers do you usually get on a full tank? Does highway driving make a big difference in range?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Sandeep!

The range of a full tank in a Toyota Corolla depends on the model year, engine type, and driving conditions. Here’s what you can generally expect:

Fuel Tank Capacity: Most Corolla models have a 13.2-gallon 50-liter tank.
Fuel Efficiency:
Gasoline models: ~30-35 MPG 7.8-6.7 L/100 km combined
Hybrid models: ~50+ MPG 4.7 L/100 km combined

Real-World Range:

Gasoline Corolla: ~370-460 miles 595-740 km per tank
Corolla Hybrid: ~600+ miles 965+ km per tank

Highway vs. City Driving:

Yes, highway driving makes a noticeable difference. You’ll usually get better fuel efficiency on highways because there’s less stop-and-go traffic. Some owners report hitting o r even exceeding the EPA estimates on long road trips with steady driving.

If you drive mostly in the city with lots of traffic, expect a lower range due to more frequent braking and idling.
