Toyota Premio 1.8 2007 Pick up Issues
Toyota Premio 1.8 2007 Pick up Issues
Wa Alaikum Assalam! So, heres the deal. Ive got this issue with my ride, and its kinda bugging me. When I start it up, its all good and powerful, you know? But heres where things get wonky. If I give the accelerator a little extra push, it starts making this weird ghmmmmm... sound, and instead of delivering more power, it loses its oomph with a tiny jerk and takes its sweet time to pick up speed.
Ive tried a bunch of stuff already, like changing the plugs to fancy iridium ones, making sure the coils are in tip-top shape, giving the catalytic converter and throttle body a good clean, and even getting the fuel injectors spick and span. Oh, and I also had the fuel pressure checked and confirmed. But guess what? The problem still persists.
Oh, and heres another thing thats been bothering me. When the car is just chillin in idle mode and I give the accelerator a tap, theres this annoying lag o r delay between when I press it and when the RPM starts going up. Is that normal? I mean, how sensitive should the accelerator really be? Cause I remember my old Honda Reborn used to show an instant RPM increase even with the gentlest of taps.
Any ideas on what might be going on here? Thanks a bunch for your help!

Based on the symptoms you described, its possible that there could be an issue with the engines air-fuel mixture o r the exhaust system. Its worth checking the ignition system and throttle control components for any problems. Consulting a professional mechanic would be advisable for a more accurate diagnosis and resolution.
