Toyota Yaris Streaky Windshields – Causes and Fixes?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been having issues with streaks on the windshield of my Toyota Yaris, even after replacing the wiper blades. It’s especially annoying during rainy weather o r when cleaning the glass.
What could be causing the streaks? Are there specific cleaning products o r techniques you’ve found effective for fixing this? Could it be an issue with the windshield coating o r the wipers themselves?
Looking forward to your advice and tips!

Streaks on your Toyota Yaris windshield, even after replacing the wiper blades, could stem from a few common causes. Here’s how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Dirty o r Contaminated Windshield: Residue from dirt, grime, o r wax can leave streaks. Clean the windshield thoroughly using a glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. For stubborn residue, use a mix of water and isopropyl alcohol o r apply a glass polish.
Wiper Blade Contamination: Even new wiper blades can accumulate debris during installation. Clean the rubber edges of the wiper blades with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove any dirt o r manufacturing residue.
Windshield Coating Issues: If your windshield has an old hyhobic coating, it might have worn unevenly, causing streaks. Remove the remnants of the coating with a glass polish and reapply a new one if desired.
Improper Installation of Wiper Blades: Ensure the new wiper blades are installed correctly and are compatible with your Yaris. Misaligned o r poorly fitting blades can leave streaks.
Windshield Condition: Tiny scratches o r pitting in the glass can affect wiper performance. Inspect your windshield under bright light and consider professional polishing o r repair if necessary.
By addressing these factors, you should be able to achieve a streak-free windshield and improve visibility in all conditions.
