What Are the Signs of a Failing Power Door Lock Actuator in a Toyota Camry?

How can Camry owners tell if the actuator is failing? Do clicking noises, sluggish movement, o r complete lock failure indicate that an actuator replacement is needed?

Signs that the power door lock actuator may be failing include:

Clicking noises: If you hear a clicking sound but the lock doesn’t engage, the actuator might be faulty.
Sluggish movement: If the lock is moving very slowly o r unevenly, this indicates a weakening actuator.
Complete failure: If the lock doesn’t respond at all, the actuator has likely failed and needs replacement.
