What does an Emulator and Advancer do?

hey ppl
i am planning on installing a cng kit in my corolla 1.6 gli.
Would u ppl plz tell me that does the emulator and/or advancer come with the cng kit or do i have to get it installed separately?
Also, what are their functions and plz tell the name and location of a good conversion centre in karachi.

Hello!
Swifty....!
as you have 1.6 Gli......with 4A-FE engine.....it does'nt need advancer at all...reason is that it got distributor type Ignition System.......and Advancer was needed in cars which have had DIS(Direct Ignition System)when converted on CNG...
so all you need is a good emulator for your 1.6 Gli...!

what Advancer do is it advances the timing on CNG.....thus to get better pickup.......as on CNG timing need to be advanced.......so it advanced the timing while on CNG and restore the defualt timing when on petrol....!

Emulator is needed in cars with EFi(Electronic Fuel Injection)....as when CNG was on CNG...it send false signals to ECU that injectors are working while they are not on CNG...also its responsible for starting an engine on petrol and thus after gaining specified settled RPM..it automatically converts on CNG.....thats what emulator do..
B/w Landi-Renzo was the best brand among all kits....!
get the Landi-Renzo kit along with its Landi-Renzo Emulator...try for it...if you won't get...then go for any other...!usually problem lies with matching Advancers...Emulator almost matches in all...!
