What Engine Should I Put in My 2001 Corolla Xe?

Salam dear,
I am resident of Karachi and I own Indus Corolla and now I want to modify some of its parts. My car looks in good condition but the stock 2E carbureted engine needs some coaxing on the cold start. The most important thing is that it shows good performance but due to my carelessness, I do not ponder over its fuel consumption. Engine of my car is reliable and I am looking for a good mechanic that can make it good and improve its condition.
