What is the Fuel Economy of 2012 GLI XLI ?

Hey everyone! I just bought a 2012 ECO TECH XLI model that’s been driven 89,000 km.

I’d love to hear your thoughts—what kind of average mileage do you guys get with your 2012 GLI XLI? I’m only using petrol. Thanks!

For city driving, you should aim for 11-12 km/l and for long trips, around 14-15 km/l. Ive been using the wrong oil—20W50—for its entire life, which is about 220,000 km. I strongly recommend switching to 5W30 Toyota Taglon X. If you notice oil consumption, then you can try 5W50 Toyota Taglon.

When driving in the city, use CNG, but for longer routes, a mix of petrol and CNG works best. Your car is designed for CNG, so make sure to use it! After filling up with CNG, just press the button to switch to CNG mode. You can press it again to switch back to petrol. Just make sure to drive it on petrol for about a kilometer after switching.

The 2012 Corolla XLI typically gives around 12-14 km/l in city driving and 15-16 km/l on highways with petrol. Fuel economy can vary based on driving style and maintenance.
