Which engine should I choose for my 2001 corolla xe?

hi everyone so I am in Karachi with an indus corolla that I'd like to modify. She's in really good condition, but the stock 2E carbureted engine requires coaxing on cold starts and the power leaves something to be desired.

For me the most important thing is reliability followed closely by performance. I don't care about fuel consumption.
What's a fun reliable engine for my car, and does anyone know of any good mechanics here in Karachi that can do the job?

budget: 3-4 lakh pkr
