Why do Honda City power window switches fail over time?

Some drivers complain that the power window switch becomes unresponsive o r works intermittently. Is this due to wear and tear, moisture damage, o r poor-quality switches? Can the switches be repaired, o r do they need a complete replacement?

Power window switches can fail over time due to wear and tear. Continuous pressing and releasing of the switch can wear down the internal components, causing the switch to become unresponsive o r work intermittently. Moisture damage is another common cause of switch failure. If water o r moisture gets into the switch, it can corrode the internal contacts and cause it to malfunction. Additionally, poor-quality switches o r switches made with inferior materials can wear out more quickly. In most cases, a faulty switch will need to be replaced rather than repaired, as repairing them is often complicated and unreliable.
