Why Do My BMW 2 Series Door Locks Keep Locking and Unlocking Randomly?

The power door locks on my BMW 2 Series keep cycling on their own, locking and unlocking randomly while driving o r parked. Could this be caused by a faulty actuator, wiring issue, o r central locking system malfunction? How can I diagnose and fix it?

Faulty door lock actuator – A malfunctioning actuator can cause the locks to cycle randomly.
🔹 Wiring issues o r short circuit – Damaged wires in the door harness can trigger random locking/unlocking.
🔹 Key fob stuck in a loop – A faulty key fob may be sending repeated signals.
🔹 Malfunctioning central locking module – The module that controls the locks could be failing.
🔹 Moisture o r corrosion in wiring – Pakistan’s humid o r rainy weather can cause wiring problems.

How to Fix:
✅ Check if the key fob is stuck – Remove the battery from the key fob to see if the problem stops.
✅ Inspect door lock actuators – If one door is behaving abnormally, its actuator may need replacement.
✅ Check the wiring in the door harness – Look for frayed o r damaged wires.
✅ Test the central locking module – Resetting o r replacing it may be needed.
✅ Inspect for water damage – If you recently washed the car o r drove in heavy rain, let the system dry and check for rusted connections.
