Why Is One Door Lock Not Working While Others Function Properly in My BMW 2 Series?
One of my BMW 2 Series doors won’t lock o r unlock, but the others work fine. Could this be due to a faulty door lock actuator, a damaged wiring connection, o r a problem with the control module? What is the best way to fix this issue in Pakistan?

Possible Causes:
🔹 Faulty door lock actuator – The actuator in the affected door may have failed.
🔹 Broken wiring in the door harness – A disconnected o r frayed wire could prevent the lock from working.
🔹 Damaged locking mechanism – A jammed o r rusted lock mechanism can cause one door to stop functioning.
🔹 Central locking module issue – While rare, a software o r module fault may affect individual doors.
How to Fix:
✅ Try locking/unlocking the door manually – If it works manually but not electrically, the actuator is likely faulty.
✅ Check the door harness wiring – Open the door panel and look for disconnected o r damaged wires.
✅ Test the actuator using an OBD scanner – A diagnostic scan can confirm if the actuator is receiving power.
✅ Lubricate the door lock mechanism – If the lock is stuck, applying lubricant can help.
✅ Replace the door lock actuator if necessary – If it’s confirmed faulty, replacement is the best solution.
