Why Do My Mehran’s Headlights and Dashboard Lights Dim When I Turn on the AC?

When I switch on the AC o r use the horn in my Mehran, the headlights and dashboard lights dim slightly. It feels like an electrical load issue. Is this related to the alternator, battery, o r wiring?

This dimming indicates an electrical load issue, most likely because:

Weak alternator: The alternator may not be generating enough current when electrical load increases.

Old o r weak battery: It can’t support peak loads like AC compressor and headlights together.

Poor grounding o r corroded wiring: This restricts current flow, especially under load.

🛠 Fix:
Get the alternator output tested should be 13.5–14.4V when running.

Replace the battery if its older than 2–3 years o r weak on a load test.

Clean battery terminals and check ground wires from battery to chassis and engine.
