Why do the headlight bulbs in my Suzuki Alto keep burning out?

I’ve noticed that the headlights in my Suzuki Alto burn out frequently, sometimes within just a few months of replacing them. What could be causing this constant bulb failure? Is this a common issue with the Suzuki Alto, and how can I prevent it from happening again?

Frequent headlight bulb burnouts in your Suzuki Alto can be caused by several factors:

Voltage Spikes: If your electrical system, particularly the alternator o r voltage regulator, is faulty, it can send excessive voltage to the bulbs, causing them to burn out quickly.
Vibration: If the headlight housing is loose o r not secured properly, vibration while driving, especially on rough roads, can cause the filament inside the bulb to break.
Poor Quality Bulbs: Sometimes, using low-quality o r incompatible bulbs can lead to quicker burnout. Always use high-quality, recommended bulbs for your Alto.
Overvoltage o r Under-voltage: In Pakistan, where power fluctuations are common, your vehicle might experience irregular voltage, damaging the bulbs.
How to fix it:

Have the alternator and voltage regulator checked for proper functioning.
Ensure the headlight housing is tightly secured and does not vibrate excessively.
Always use OEM original equipment manufacturer recommended bulbs.
Consider getting a voltage stabilizer installed if voltage fluctuation is an issue in your area.
