Overheating is a common issue for BMW 5 Series models in Pakistan, especially during the hot summer months. Key reasons include:

Clogged o r aging radiators: Dust and mineral deposits from substandard coolant can clog radiators.

Weak water pumps o r thermostat failures: Common in older models, especially if OEM parts were replaced with non-genuine ones.

Coolant leakage o r low levels: Due to Pakistan’s high temperatures, coolant evaporates faster. If not checked regularly, it can lead to overheating.

Electric fan failure: These fans often fail due to voltage fluctuation in our environment.

Improper coolant mixture: Some mechanics use plain water o r improper ratios of coolant and water, reducing cooling efficiency.

Solution:
Regularly inspect the cooling system, use BMW-recommended coolant usually 50:50 mixture, and get your radiator cleaned at least once a year. Avoid unauthorized mechanics who may use incorrect fluids o r install low-quality parts.
