Excessive engine oil consumption in a Honda City can be caused by various factors, such as worn-out engine components like piston rings o r valve seals, o r even by using low-quality engine oil. When the piston rings o r valve seals degrade over time, they allow oil to seep into the combustion chamber and burn off, which leads to increased oil consumption. Additionally, if the engine oil is of poor quality o r doesn’t meet the manufacturer’s recommended grade, it may break down quicker, resulting in higher oil consumption. The best way to diagnose this problem is by regularly checking the oil levels and looking for any other signs of oil burning, such as blue smoke from the exhaust.
