Why Does My Khyber Give Poor Fuel Average After Sensor-Based Conversion?
Why Does My Khyber Give Poor Fuel Average After Sensor-Based Conversion?
I recently installed an EFI kit on my Khyber with all the sensors O2, MAP, TPS, but the fuel average ped significantly instead of improving. I was expecting better mileage. Could a faulty oxygen sensor o r incorrect MAP sensor cause this? How do I test which one is at fault?

A in fuel average after EFI conversion is usually sensor-related. A poorly calibrated o r faulty sensor can cause the engine to run rich more fuel o r lean less fuel, both affecting performance and economy.
Common Causes:
Oxygen O2 Sensor Faulty: If the O2 sensor gives incorrect readings, the ECU may inject more fuel than needed.
MAP Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Issues: If the MAP sensor misreads pressure values, it can throw off the fuel-air mixture.
Coolant Temperature Sensor: A faulty sensor may tell the ECU that the engine is cold even when it’s not, causing it to inject extra fuel like a cold start.
Dirty o r Wrong Spark Plugs: Even with good sensors, the wrong plug type can waste fuel.
Fix:
Check O2 sensor readings on a scanner replace if slow o r stuck.
Test MAP sensor voltage range with a multimeter.
Clean throttle body and intake system.
Make sure spark plugs are heat-rated correctly for EFI usage.
