Why does my Mehrans alternator belt keep getting loose o r damaged?

I own a 2009 Mehran, and the alternator belt keeps getting loose o r worn out every few months. I’ve had it replaced multiple times, but the problem keeps coming back. Is this a common issue with Mehran alternators? Could it be due to faulty alignment o r cheap replacement parts?

This is a very common issue in Mehran due to the basic design and local part quality. Causes include:

Low-quality o r incorrect-size belts being installed

Misaligned pulleys, which cause uneven belt wear

Worn tensioner o r pulley bearings

Heat exposure especially during summer, making rubber belts brittle

Always use OEM o r branded belts like Bando o r Mitsuboshi. Make sure a skilled mechanic aligns the pulleys properly and adjusts the belt tension to manufacturer specs — not too tight o r loose.
