Why does my Suzuki Alto make a whining noise when I turn the steering wheel?
Every time I turn the steering wheel in my Suzuki Alto, I hear a whining noise. This happens whether I’m turning at low speeds o r at a higher speed. What could be the cause of this noise, and is it something I need to be worried about?

A whining o r whining noise when turning the steering wheel typically points to an issue with the power steering system.
Possible Causes:
Low Power Steering Fluid: If the power steering fluid is low, air may enter the system, causing a whining sound when you turn the wheel.
Faulty Power Steering Pump: A failing power steering pump often causes whining sounds, especially when the steering wheel is turned.
Air in the Power Steering System: If air has entered the power steering system due to low fluid o r leaks, it can create a whining noise.
Worn-out Steering Rack: If the steering rack is worn, it can also produce whining o r whining noises while turning.
Solution:
Check Fluid Levels: Check the power steering fluid and top it up if necessary. If the fluid is dirty o r contaminated, consider flushing and replacing it.
Inspect the Power Steering Pump: If the fluid is fine and the whining persists, the power steering pump may be failing and needs to be checked o r replaced.
Check for Leaks: Have the power steering system checked for leaks o r air bubbles that may be causing the noise.
