Why Does My Suzuki Khyber’s Tire Pressure Fluctuate So Much in Hot Weather?

Ive noticed that during the hot summer months in Pakistan, my Khybers tire pressure increases drastically after a drive. Should I be concerned about this? Is it safe to drive with high pressure, o r should I let some air out? How much fluctuation is considered normal for Khyber tires?

Tire pressure can fluctuate significantly due to temperature changes, especially in hot weather, and this is a common issue for Suzuki Khyber owners in Pakistan, where the heat can be intense during the summer months.

Explanation:
Thermal Expansion: As temperatures rise, the air inside your tires expands. This leads to an increase in tire pressure. In the hot weather of Pakistan, after a drive, the tire pressure can increase by 2–4 PSI.

Risk of Overinflation: If the pressure increases too much, it can lead to overinflation, which reduces the tires contact patch with the road, affecting traction and increasing the risk of a blowout.

Fix:
Check Tire Pressure When Tires Are Cold: Always check and adjust tire pressure when the tires are cold before you drive o r after the car has been stationary for a few hours. The recommended tire pressure for Khyber is generally around 30-32 PSI check your owners manual for specifics.

Adjust According to Weather: During hot weather, it’s important to not overinflate your tires keep the pressure closer to the manufacturer’s recommendation.
