Why does my Suzuki Mehran’s door not close properly without slamming?

Why does my Suzuki Mehran’s door not close properly without slamming?

One of the most annoying things about my Suzuki Mehran 2016 is that I have to slam the doors for them to shut properly. It feels cheap and irritating. Is this a design flaw, o r can it be fixed with better rubber linings o r adjustments? Has anyone in Pakistan installed better-quality door seals o r dampers?

This is a very common issue in Mehran, and it usually happens due to:

Worn-out o r hard door rubber seals

Misaligned door hinges

Poor build quality of the body and frame

How to fix it:

Replace the existing door rubbers with soft Japanese-quality seals Rs. 1,500–3,000.

Adjust the door striker/lock catch for a smoother closing action.

Install door damping pads o r strips, which help cushion the door when closing.

Lubricate the latches and hinges regularly.

You’ll notice a big difference in the feel and ease of closing doors after these changes.
