Why does the dashboard of my Suzuki Mehran rattle while driving?

Whenever I drive my Mehran 2014 model, especially on rough roads, the dashboard starts making rattling noises. It feels like some parts are loose inside. Is this a common issue? What causes it, and how can I fix o r reduce the rattling sounds inside the cabin?

Dashboard rattling is a very common issue in Mehran due to its basic plastic interior, especially after a few years of use. The rattling usually comes from:

Loose dashboard clips o r screws

Worn-out plastic panels vibrating

Cables o r AC vents moving inside

How to fix it:

Remove the dashboard and tighten all screws and clips DIY o r ask a trusted electrician.

Use foam tape o r insulation tape between plastic parts to stop vibration.

Zip-tie o r tape any loose wires inside the dashboard.

Add a dashboard mat to reduce surface-level noise.

You can get this work done at local car electricians in Pakistan for around Rs. 1,000–2,000
