Causes:
Worn Clutch Master/Slave Cylinder: If either of these components fails, the clutch may feel stiff o r hard to operate.
Old o r Improper Clutch Fluid: Low o r contaminated clutch fluid can make the pedal feel heavy.
Stiff Clutch Cable: In older vehicles, the cable that connects the clutch pedal to the mechanism can become stiff and cause difficulty in disengagement.

Solution:

Replace o r repair the clutch master/slave cylinders if they are faulty.
Flush and replace the clutch fluid regularly to ensure smooth operation.
Consider replacing the clutch cable if it has become worn out.
