Excessive oil consumption in Suzuki Alto vehicles can be caused by several factors:

Worn Piston Rings: If the piston rings are worn o r damaged, oil can seep into the combustion chamber, causing the engine to burn oil. This leads to increased oil consumption and potential blue smoke from the exhaust.

Valve Seal Failure: The valve seals prevent oil from entering the combustion chamber through the valve guides. If these seals wear out, they can allow oil to leak into the combustion area, resulting in oil consumption.

PCV Valve Issues: A malfunctioning Positive Crankcase Ventilation PCV valve can cause excessive pressure in the engine, leading to oil leakage. This can increase oil consumption and cause the engine to burn more oil than usual.

Leaking Gaskets o r Seals: Worn o r damaged gaskets, such as the head gasket o r oil seals, can cause oil to leak from the engine, resulting in low oil levels and the need for frequent top-ups.

Diagnosis and Solutions:

Perform a compression test to check for worn piston rings o r valve seal problems.
Replace the valve seals if they are found to be damaged o r worn.
Inspect and replace the PCV valve if it’s malfunctioning.
Check for oil leaks around the engine, and replace any damaged gaskets o r seals.
Regular maintenance, such as oil changes and routine engine inspections, can help prevent excessive oil consumption in Suzuki Alto.
